KKLD* develops brand appearance for DriveNow of BMW i, MINI and SIXT

The KKLD* office in Berlin has developed a comprehensive design concept for the new car sharing service of BMW i, MINI and SIXT. In addition to creation of the brand, the brand name and the logo, KKLD* has also developed the branding of the car sharing vehicles – everything from the touchscreen menu in the car to the internet site and smartphone app.

Simple, understandable and consistent: The brand promise is kept at all relevant touchpoints by well thought-out interaction design. Whether on website, iPhone or even in the car itself, the user gets to the point with a few clicks, receiving info in a friendly and helpful manner, informed precisely in every situation. In the vehicles, a touchscreen interface offers easy access to processes relevant to reservation as well as navigation and other value-added services. The applications connect well-established best practices with innovative solutions.

KKLD* has also conceived and produced a video clip explaining how comfortable and simple it is to rent a DriveNow vehicle and the advantages the concept offers to the customer.
With this step forward, KKLD* underlines its role as a cross-media, full-service agency with an integrated approach.

Unique digital campaign to promote new BMW model

KKLD* has conducted a new digital campaign – the first of its kind in the automobile industry – for BMW. It kicked off with the launch of a special weblog „Don’t Blog About This“ and the publication of sneak peek images and teaser videos of a mysterious new prototype on Flickr and Youtube.

In the first week after the launch, the website attracted hundreds of thousands of views, without its having been actively advertised. A global campaign was thus launched successfully without any media outlay whatsoever. Within ten weeks, the video clocked up a total of 500,000 views.

The dontblogaboutthis.com website deliberately played on speculation, rumours and revelations about the new BMW prototype. The tongue-in-cheek campaign also suggested that car fans and bloggers should not speak about the new model, which is still under wraps. The intention, of course, was that they should do exactly the opposite.
The mystery campaign received a very positive response from such leading blogs as Top Gear, Autoblog and PSFK. It also promptly made the jump into the German and international press, including The New York Times, and was hailed as “a perfect example of viral marketing” by Focus Online.

New Internet Platform for the BMW Group: “Project i”, the Think Tank for Sustainable Mobility Topics

At www.project-i.com KKLD* has created an online platform for the BMW Group. It serves as the official website for Project i, an initiative of the BMW Group to develop sustainable and trendsetting mobility concepts.

The English-language website was developed for an international audience as a platform for progressive mobility topics, programmed and actively edited by KKLD*. The site gives in-depth, up-to-the-minute insight into how the BMW Group is mastering the challenges of sustainable mobility. Core is the presentation of the revolutionary Megacity Vehicle, which is of great interest to an increasingly aware, environmentally minded public. The Megacity Vehicle is an absolutely new, emission-free vehicle, currently in the development phase.

In addition, our creative agency has designed and programmed dedicated social media sites for Project i. Via an integrated Twitter channel and Facebook page, users can subscribe to receive the latest news, contribute their own relevant links, and join in the conversation.
Project i will continue to develop as a platform for discussion of mobility, regularly edited to introduce new features and content.

KKLD* Launches Career Channel for BMW Group on Facebook and Twitter

As of July 1st 2010, the BMW Group has made an information page with current job openings available on the social networks Facebook and Twitter. These innovative applications were conceived and implemented by KKLD*.

Students, graduates, and professionals in all fields can now get information about career opportunities and work at the BMW Group directly from the two social networks.

A major highlight of this initiative is a search engine for job seekers, directly integrated with Facebook. If there are no suitable positions available, prospective employees may choose to receive all new job listings corresponding to their field of activity and career level via Twitter. In addition, users can forward listings to interested friends and colleagues using the social networks’ “sharing” functions.

With this new development, the BMW Group continues its consistent commitment to social media. Already, they successfully maintain the corporate information page “BMW Group View” on Facebook, as well as websites for the brands BMW, BMW Motorcycle and BMW MINI. KKLD* is the lead agency for all BMW Group social media activities worldwide.
